There are more than 20 attractions including a light space, a cave art center, a waterfall, a golden palace, an underground lake, a modern history exhibition, and a wine cave inside the Gwangmyeong Cave which has been used for gold, silver and copper since 1912. Also, there are many places to experience such as a wishing wall to wish for health and happiness, gold mining, jewelery mining, elephant bus etc.
Gwangmyeong Cave, which transformed the industrial heritage and cultural value of abandoned gold mine into the culture, arts and healing spaces, is the representative cave of Korea where 1.5 million people visit.
Feedback:
- This was really sort of a rush. We were running around and only covered first level.
- Traffic was pretty bad on Sundays and thus, we had less time
- Cave itself was interesting and really "commercialized"
- They actually have turned this into a theme park and thus,
- proper pavements and stairs
- there were interesting shows like Light shows, Horror Cave etc
- There was even "Batman" and "Hulk" statues since one of the companies actually did something with Marvel and LOTR, there is even a Dragon!
- There were 9 levels and could prolly take more than half a day.
- There are waterfalls and a lake inside the dave
