Top of the World  W Ridge, Laguna Beach, CA 92651  https://goo.gl/maps/wQdN5tA3LcWZfhPo8 Hike: Hard (it was a long hike and I think Car Wreck trail coming back was hard as we have to climb rocks to go up), prolly around 6 - 7 miles August 16, 2020 This was not an easy hike especially the Car Wreck trail where you climb up rocks etc but this was the only trail that half of the trail was quite shaded with trees and the other half was a bit rocky etc.  What is annoying is that there are so many bikers/cyclis t despite that it was so dusty as well!  We end up waiting most of the time for them to pass or turn our backs because it was so dusty.  Also, there were actual vehicles driving around that made so much dust (not sure if they were rescuing someone), but they were cars by the park rangers.  It was also quite crowded (you do have enough social distancing as it is a huge park but there are narrow trails).   Since that day was pretty hot, getting th...

Blue Fig

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars Address:  990 Valencia St, San Francisco, Feedback: I ordered a single shot latte.  The coffee was good and milky just the way I like it.  However, I was very disappointed with this cafe for a number of reasons 1) They are know for their foaming skills.  Given that the latte foam was quite right, there was nothing "instagram"-mable with thr latte.  No art at all. 2) I was there almost 2 PM on a Sunday and it was not that busy anymore but it took me ages before I got my latte.  Not sure if he was waiting for another person having single shot 'cuz that was the only time he made the coffee for me.  Waited for around 15-20 Minutes for my coffee. Really slow and bad service. Recommendation is just go down to Ritual, a block away, for a real good cafe and with fast and great service. Note: I haven't tried the food and not sure if they are any good.

Suzu Nood House, Japan Town @SF

Image
Yelp:   http://www.yelp.com/biz/suzu-noodle-house-san-francisco Food Rating: 2 out of 5 Food Feedback: Tried their Char Siu Ramen, and Katsu Don. Personally if I'm paying 10 dollars for a ramen, I hope that it's going to be OK, unfortunately, the meat was not chewable, the egg was not the Japanese soft boiled egg, but was cold and hard boiled.. Didn't really like it.

Red Cafe (Mission, San Francisco)

Image
Webpage: http://redcafesf.net/ Address:   2894 Mission Street San Francisco Food Rating: 2 out of 5 This is an inconspicuous cafe along the 24th Street and Mission.  It does seem to have very good reviews in yelp (especially with its plantains, which unfortunately, I have not tried). I've order Corned beef hash with toast which cost around 10 bucks and coffee around 2 bucks. Overall, the food was 'meh' rather than nice or decent.  Corned beef tasted like those canned corned beef and really not worth paying 10 bucks.   Coffee is just normal coffee and nothing spectacular.  I wouldn't come back here but then again, the good thing is that it's close to my place and there's not much of a queue.  Or maybe at least go back for Plantains. Corned Beef Hash with poached eggs
