We ordered  Fried Rice (half an order) The full order was huge - it was more of a TRAY, so we decided to do half-order which was a full plate half order was around 10 while full was around 15 Combination Pancake - Mac + Banana + Pineapple - $12.75 They were nice enough to just put one pancake per plate since I was sharing with a friend It was tasty and fluffy They had a coconut syrup which was kinda like coconut milk with some maple syrup.  Not really for me but some people loved it. You might want to order the whip cream on the side. Ordered Pineapple Juice - nothing nice. It was a bit diluted. The restau...

Black Sesame Seed Ice Cream Quite good and has a bit of crispy thing in the ice cream Lilikoi + Pomegranate Spritzer Not too sweet so was just good but I think it is more of acquired taste Hamachi Carpaccio Gobo Chips Rainbow Roll Sushi Platter Black Sesame Ice Cream

Tin Roof by Chef Simeon (Top Chef Finalist) - Maui Hawaii

Website: http://www.tinroofmaui.com/ Address:  360 Papa Place, Kahului, HI, 96732 Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Star Feedback: July 3, 2017 A mom and pop eatery in Kahului, Maui, Hawaii! This was recommended by my friend 'cuz she saw Top Chef Sheldon Simeon in 2 Seasons of Top chef and he has kinda like a pop-up restaurant in Maui Hawaii. The place was really small and not much space to eat so you might just want to order (via square) or walk in and buy.  The wait wasn't that long which is good.  Note, it is only open during lunch 10am-2pm Mondays to Saturdays The dish seems to be Hawaiian or Filipino with a twist and is quite cheap for all menus being under $10 dollars. Chef Sheldon Simeon Top Chef Season 10 (2012) and Season 14 (2016) Top Finalist and won Fan Favorite award for both seasons Credits: Photo by BravoTv.com "he was named in Hawaii Magazine's Top 5 Best Hawaiian Chefs of 2014 and voted FOOD & WINE Magazine's 2014 People's Bes...

Not sure but I seem to notice that Hawaiians love to have their food sort of having overwhelming taste.  I had a risotto and it had some coconut so it kinda was very filling and was a bit too much. Seafood Risotto with Fresh Catch, Lobster, Shrimp ($40) It was generally good though I felt that it was too overwhelming due to the coconut mixed into the risotto. Lobster was OK. Liked the shrimp, the fresh catch (Opah Fish) was OK though doesn't have much of a taste. Fresh Catch of the Day with Thai Curry and Jasmine Rice ($35) You know when they try to make a Thai curry and do it with a twist, it just not that great! Fish and everything was go...
