Sitges  ( Catalan pronunciation:  [ˈsidʒəs] ) is a town about 35 kilometres southwest of  Barcelona , renowned worldwide for its  Film Festival  and  Carnival . Located between the  Garraf Massif  and the sea, it is known for its beaches, nightspots, and historical sites. ( Wikipedia ) Sitges is also known for Mardi Gras, this is way better than the ones they have in Barcelona Rua Infantil  February 15, 2015 (Saturday) 12 Noon This is the "younger kids" version of the procession.  The bigger one will be done similarly .. but by the "Bigger kids" Creative........ I initially thought Barcelona Carnival would be big... unfortunately not, they have just little festivities in the main area. What is better is to take the train from Barcelona to go Sitges, half an hour away.  See my blog about Sitges.
