Barcelona Carnival 2015

Image
I initially thought Barcelona Carnival would be big... unfortunately not, they have just little festivities in the main area. What is better is to take the train from Barcelona to go Sitges, half an hour away.  See my blog about Sitges. Festivities normally start  during the arrival of the kind and End tuesday before Ash Wednesday. CATS @ the London Palladium

Image
Website:  http://www.catsthemusical.com Address: London Palladium Theatre, Argyll Street, London Nearest Tube: Oxford Circus Overall Feedback: Quite popular to the song "Memories," Cats, according to most, is one of THE musicals that you must watch.  Personally though, the show is generally fine but nothing spectacular.  There were not lot of stage props and scene changes, I guess because this is a very old play.  If you have seen Les Miserables, this one may be tad disappointing. But overall, watch it if you haven't.

London Cool Signs

Image
A cop falling in love with the sign, just near Piccadily Circus Station (along Glasshouse Street, just right across Whole Foods Market and along Nespresso Shop) It's in the Morrison's Petrol station after the Stables Market

Walllace Collections

Image
The Wallace Collection is home to one of Europes finest collections of works of art, paintings, furniture, arms & armour and porcelain. (Wallace Collection) Personally, Rather than walking along Oxford street, this is one place that I will visit especially if I have an hour to spare.  Beautiful house centrally located with gorgeous rooms and amazing artifacts.  I personally like the European Armor collection in the Ground Floor. If you are hungry, the kitchen is also a very nice brunch/breakfast/snack area (it looks like an nice open space). Website: www.wallacecollection.org Address: Hertford House, Manchester Square, London W1U 3BN And while you probably knew the paintings seen during "For the First Time in Forever" were all reinterpretations of classic paintings, you might not have known Jean-Honoré Fragonard's "The Swing" was also the inspiration for Tangled's art style, tying the two Disney movies together ( site )

The Providores and Tapa Room

Image
Address: 109 Marylebone Road, London NW1 Nearest Tube Station: Bakerloo Station (otherwise, you can walk from Oxford Street [Bond Street]) Website: www.theprovidores.co.uk Costs: Brunch costs around 10 pounds and coffee around 2.50 - 3 pounds. Overall Feedback: It is the sister restaurant of Kopapa in Covent Garden.  The food is known for its chorizo and Turkish Eggs breakfast and brunch meals.  I like the food and it is centrally located in the beautiful Marylebone High Street. Turkish Eggs with Yoghurt I think this is one of their famous brunch dishes.  I love the Turkish eggs mixed with yoghurt and eaten with sourdough bread. Chorizo with Sweet Potato A great combination of Chorizo and Sweet potato.  Really great for Brunch. French Toast with Banana and Pecan Nuts It tastes different but nothing spectacular.  You can probably skip this and just order other brunch/breakfast meals. Flat White Coffee It is OK. Nothing great about their

Yaneff at DSTRKT

Advice: DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT For some reason, the previous month's review in TripAdvisor's reviews were good. But this week, seems like a lot of the the customers have the same sentiments and feedback 1) Horrendous Service We were waiting for our table and we were there slightly early.. it was already 20 minutes past our reservation and we have to ask them again for our table. For some reason, other guests were accommodated a lot faster (especially if they were all girls and wearing 'provocative' dresses')  We waited more than half an hour for our mains, then another half an hour for our dessert. and the couple near us was also angry because of the extremely slow and rude service.  My friend ordered steak - it arrived COLD!  We ordered a bottle of wine, and the when we asked to pour more wine to our bottle, the guy said that the bottle was empty. I was sure there was still left!!! We actually was so pissed off that we ask them to take off the servi

Flesh & Buns

Image
Flesh & Buns is part of the Bone Daddies chain of restaurant (They are known for their ramen in Soho).  It's a trendy restaurant focusing on Asian / Jap Food with a twist/ Fusion.   Website:  http://www.fleshandbuns.com Address: 41 Earlham Street, London, WC2H 9LX Nearest Tube Station: Covent Garden Phone: 020.7632.9500 They have a variety of Sushi and Rolls from California to Salmon avocado roll. These tastes pretty normal for me. It is great to order HandMade Buns to go  with .... Crispy Piglet Belly (this is one good option) Crispy Duck Leg (not really one that I will consider as a good Duck leg, you can probably get a better one in China Town) Salmon Teriyaki (good Teriyaki) Miso Grilled Aubergine (a bit sweet but quite tasty) For drinks, their Frozen Yuzu Margarita is pretty popular... and for dessert.... People love their S'mores.  Not just because it's S'more but it is fun doing it in a restaurant! If it is a big group, t
