Chef Chu's Los Altos, California

Image
Website: http://www.chefchu.com/ Address:  1067 N San Antonio Rd, Los Altos, CA 94022 Rating: 3.0 out of 5 Feedback: September 11, 2018 This place is sort of an institution in Los Altos so I had high expectations on this but this seems to be more of a "Americanized" Chinese Restaurant. This is also famous because this is owned by Jon Chu's Father. Jon Chu is the director for Crazy Rich Asians. Food Feedback: Peking Duck - it was ok. They removed a lot of the fats.  Whole Fried Fish - This was good and prolly the best in this. Hot & sour soup - really bad. Very peppery and doesn't have a taste. Potstickers (Vegetarian) - tastles like old mushrooms and vegetable Whole Fried Fish Peking Duck

Go for the Tacos Al Pastor (Pork) and it was really good. Also ordered the Chicharrones con Queso which looks like a Dosa but actually it is crispy and with some baked cheese. It reminded me of light biscuits with some cheese (baked) Taco El Pastor Guacamole Chicharrones con queso

Website:  h ttp://www.sanangelinn.com/ Address:  Diego Rivera 50, San Ángel Inn, 01060 Ciudad de México, CDMX https://goo.gl/maps/yz1aRrFAr4L2 Rating: 5 out of 5 September 8, 2018 This is a very posh place and apparently, this is like a Traditional Sunday Brunch place for a lot of mexicans. The place is amazing with beautiful gardens and courtyards in an amazing building The food is also realllly good.  A bit pricy with mains around 250-300+ pesos but it is really worth it. crepas de cuitlacoche/ huitlacoche This is actually interesting as this is actually called corn smuts, basically fungus that grows on corns, it looks horrible, but it tastes yummy. Look at the picture below. Ceviche Acapulqueño Arrachera Beef This is really good beef Empanada (Merengue) Isla Flotante It is like a very very very fluffy marshmallow Has a bit of cinnamon, but it is not too sweet so I really like it

Isla Mujeres 300 pesos for a round trip ticket and leaves every half an hour. There are several ports going to Isla Mujeres (obviously, the closer to the hotel zone was more expensive).  This one was the cheapest - Gran Puerto Terminal The Port Port from Isla Mujeres The Ferry - really quite nice and they have a person playing a guitar to entertain us Oceanvs Beach  Club Centro - Supmza. 001, Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo http://www.nabalam.com/ El Oasis Mariscos Lote 2, Avenida Yaxchilán, Lote 2, SM 17, 17, 77505 Cancún, Q.R. http://www.eloasismariscos.com/ Feedback: Ceviches was amazing Seafood casserole with Cheese was good but so filling Paella was just OK.
