Musashi's Seattle

Image
Address: 512 S King St, Seattle, WA 98104 Zagat:  https://www.zagat.com/r/musashis-seattle It might look small but it's actually very filling and for 15 dollars (around 17.50+ after tax), this is really very cheap for fresh salmon, tuna, etc sashimi. Note: Cash Only!

Website: https://www.lolaseattle.com/ IT is in 50 Things to Eat before you die in Seattle by Spoon University Made-to-order Doughnuts Was in the Top to eat in Seattle It was really good though I think you can buy this in food trucks/ stalls.  The only difference is they have fresh marmalade and butter.  But you are paying 10$ for just small 5 doughnut balls, in addition to the sales tax + 20% service charge that they added right away in your bill so you end up paying $13+.  That is really uberpriced for those donuts.  Rating: 3.5 out of 5 https://spoonuniversity.com/lifestyle/40-dishes-snacks-drinks-to-try-in-seattle-before-you-die

Dahlia's Bakery (Seattle)

Address: 2001 4th Ave, Seattle, WA 98121 Number 48 in the Thrillist Top 50 things to eat in Seattle before yo doi https://www.thrillist.com/eat/seattle/seattle-food-bucket-list-50-things-to-eat-before-you-die "Triple coconut cream pie -  Downtown Seattle’s most famous chef’s signature dish has made appearances on the menu of more than one of his restaurants and has a long line of fans (President Obama included). Why? Perhaps it’s the heap of whipped cream with coconut and vanilla; maybe it's the way it almost melds right into the coconut custard below; or maybe it's the flaky coconut pastry on the bottom layer? Most likely, it’s the ridiculous indulgence of all three at once." Rating: 4 out of 5 star Feedback: April 21, 2018 Tried their Triple coconut cream pie. It was good and a slice cost around 6.50+ which was kinda a lot.  The coconut flakes were yummy, and the coconut was custard so a bit soft. Overall Good!

The batter is slightly different, not KFC type but very clean / home cooked type of batter flour. Chicken was tasty. Waffle was kinda bland which I guess goes well with the syrup and batter.  Would I say this is the best chicken & waffle as mentioned in the Seattle Brunch Guide? No not really, it is good but not amazing!

Ping's Dumpling House (Chinatown Seattle)

Image
Warning: Do NOT order their Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) Address: 508 S King St Seattle, WA 98104 Yelp:  https://www.yelp.com/biz/pings-dumpling-house-seattle Ratings: 1 out of 5 star Feedback: April 22, 2018, Sunday 5.00 PM I asked the lady what was good and so she suggested trying out their Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) Orders Crab Meat Xiao Long Bao which had 8 pieces for $9.  It was cheap and it tasted really cheap too.   Tasted not fresh at all. Had some weird taste. The skin easily tear out so we you pick one dumpling, the soup just comes out as it tears open.  Really bad. Looks really soggy and weird. Waste of Money

Kimpton Palladian Hotel

Image
Website:   http://www.palladianhotel.com/ Address:  2000 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98121 Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Star Feedback: Location is really good. It is like a 5-minute walk to Pike Place Market. Room is huge and clean - very "boutique-y", kinda trying to look a bit old / vintage with some paintings and copper/ bronzed faucets. Downside: I was put on the 3rd floor (1/30/2018) in the corner and it was really quite noisy. I could hear the cars honking etc.
