Dover Castle and Into the Woods Movie
One interesting thing about UK is that it is an ideal place for film locations because of the beautiful castles, ruins, and all sorts. And for this recent movie release on December 25, 2014, Dover Castle was one of the primary filming locations for for "Into the Woods" (The Rapunzel scene is in Waverley Abbey).
Nearest Rail Station: Dover Priory, and quite a bit of walk since it is uphill
How to get here? sdddYou can take a train from Victoria, London Bridge, and St. Pancras stations. The fast train is leaving from St. Pancras and takes around 1 hour while it may take 1.5 to 2 hours for slow trains.

The actual Dover Castle
Not currently in the screen cap but this is where Cinderella ran out of the castle into the woods. In the movie, they actually added a lot of trees and shrubs to make this look like "into the woods"
This is what it looks like in the real Dover Castle. The "royal sign on the towers - left and right are not hanging there and the gate was 'rectified' to look a bit like a wooden castle gate.
This is the location where Cinderella ran out of the ball (before midnight.)
Dover Castle, not just a filming location but of historical significance
Immerse yourself in the drama of the Dunkirk evacuation of May 1940, in the very tunnels where the operation - codenamed 'Dynamo' - was masterminded. Walk through the tunnels deep beneath the castle as state-of-the-art special effects, dramatic projections and real film footage bring this dramatic rescue operation to life

Food
Where to eat?
Costs around 15 pounds for main courses and around 7 pounds for starter. This is Dover's home cooked meal and food is prepared fresh for you. And because it is prepared as you order, do make sure you allot a bit of time since it can be pretty slow.

Address: 39 Castle Street. It is a 10-minute walk from the train station (and you will pass by that area on your way to Dover Castle).
Food Feedback:
As it is 'home-cooked', it does have a cosy feel to eat, though the food is nothing spectacular. I had the braised pork in cider, nothing great and it is just OK. The vegetable parmigiana though tasted great.
Tomato & Mozzarella - I don't advice this though. Tomata wasn't that fresh and Cheese wasn't that creamy.
The Pea and Haloumi fritters was good with the yoghurt and mint sauce
