Dublin, Ireland

Airport: Dublin Airport
How to go to City Area?

  • Airlink Airport Shuttle which costs 6 Euros one-way or 10 Euros return.
    • Takes around half an hour to the city and it is really fast as it goes thru the tunnel
  • Taxi which may cost around 30 Euros but can go more than that if the traffic is really bad.  You can go to the tunnel but with additional 3 Euros.

Dublin is really a nice quaint city.  If the weather is sunny, it is really really really beautiful (especially the country side).  Unfortunately, the weather is rather gloomy and wet most of the time. But if get the lucky 4-leaf clover, you might just be there during one of the rarest sunny days of Dublin.

To add:
Trinity College Library - Book  of Kells
Connor Street.

Out of Dublin

There are a lot of options to go around.  You can drive a car but easiest and cheapest is probably to take paddywagon tours.  Note: This is for backpackers.

Trips out of Dublin
  • Galway and see Cliffs of Moher (longest cliffs in the world)
  • Giant's Causeway
  • Newgrange stone age passage tomb
    • Might be interesting to check this out during Winter Solstice
