Munich, Germany and Day Trips

Image
In Munich Englishgarten Well, you'll see "naked OLD people, usually OLD GUYS" here Sunbathing! Marien Platz You can find almost everything about Munich here around Marien Platz, Sendlinger Tor,  and Odeonsplatz. The Frauenkirche  The twin towered church is definitely the tallest in the Munich area. There is city law that no building can be higher than the tower. Marienplatz Glockenspiel! - Definitely check out when the clock ticks, so check when it hits the our! The Rathaus (city hall) is where the clock tower is Sendlinger Tor  Meh! Just a tower Residenz Museum Actually quite interesting Museum, not bad to go in if you have time Hofbrauhaus Definitely go for a drink and Schweinhachsen (Pork Knuckles) Odeonsplatz It's a very nice Square!! One other thing I will suggest is actually go to this small catholic church, check out their opening hours, it's in between the Sendligner tor and Marienplatz Assamkirche It is just reall

Le Cinque Terre (La Spezia, Italy)

Commuting Train from La Spezia or Levanto Local Train around the 5 towns Timetable:  https://www.cinqueterre.eu.com/en/cinque-terre-timetable https://www.cinqueterre.eu.com/images/stories/Cinque-Terre-train-timetable.pdf One way in the local train is 4 euros. When you hike you pay 7.50 to hike thru the UNESCO trail or you can pay 16 Euros to include the hike + day train ticket. I suggest taking this since they don't have a separate day ticket.  We were planning to go to various towns and we ended up paying more since 4 trips already cost as much as the Hike + Day trip ticket. Recommendation: Take the Hike + Day Trip Ticket   Vernazza Definitely the most picturesque among the three towns and is the most vibrant and most shops/stores/restaurants I think, though not the largest. This is what you think Cinque Terre is.  This has a small place for you to go to beach. Monterosso al Mare The biggest town but the LEAST "Cinque Terre"-

Ristorante Belvedere, Monterosso, Cinque Terre, Italy

Website:  http://www.ristorante-belvedere.it/ Address:  Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi, 38, 19016 Monterosso al Mare SP Rating: 5 out of 5 Feedback: April 17, 2019 This was a recommendation of our hotel receptionist and this was definitely the "best restaurant" - very affordable but amazing fresh seafood restaurant. House Specialty - Belvedere The best dish - you need to order this. Not sure why it said for two people, but this could be 3, 4, or even 5 people.  49 Euros but so worth it. Has Lobster, Octopus, Mussels, Squid, and HUGGGEE Fatty Shrimps.  Amazing and fresh, we drank the soup too. Rice with Squid Ink Not sure how they did this with just squid ink and with a bit of squid but this was reallllllly good.

The Amalfi Coast

Modes of Transportation Commuting Amalfi Coast is not easy to get to,  either you fly to Naples or from Rome take the train to Naples, take the Circumvesuviana to Sorrento then either Bus or Ferry if you want to go to Positano or Amalfi.  Note that the bus is just right outside the the Circumvesuviana station but the ferry is a bit of a walk down to the port. Circumvesuviana (Naples to Sorrento) Train :  https://www.sorrentoinsider.com/en/naples-to-sorrento-train-schedule Schedule for Bus:  https://www.positano.com/en/bus-schedule Schedule for Ferry:  https://www.livesalerno.com/ferry-connections For Trains from Rome to Naples: Check  https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html .  I suggest downloading the app and purchasing it there to make it easier for you. Mini Van Rome to Naples: 580 Euros for 5 people mini van. ~4 hours. We hired a mini van from Rome to Positano that cost us around 580 for 5 people Positano to Naples: 120 Euros for 5 people mini van. ~1.5 to 2 hours.  To
