Website: http://www.dessertrepublic.com/ Address: 138 Main St, San Mateo, CA 94401 Rating: For Desserts - 4.5 out of 5 star For Food (non-desserts) - 3 out of 5 star Feedback: Desserts were really good.  I enjoyed the fact that they have something like this, kinda Hongkong or Singaporean Desserts which I can't easily find in the bay area. Molecular Desserts - were good, interesting, and very Instagrammable Food was just OK and actually would prolly opt to go somewhere else like Bonchon which is just a block away. Molecular Desserts This is prolly what they are famous for.  It's basically dessert that doesn't look like one. Looks really interesting. Cheesecake bowl ($15.99) When you take out that 'egg' part, there seems to be soup and Udon This is the layers of the cheese  Pudding Ginger egg and milk pudding Took 15 minutes to prepare. I honestly didn't like it. It was weird  to have ginger and was pretty sweet

Sunflowers at Route 16 and YOLO County

Where: Route 16 or Muller Ranch   (15810 Co Rd 95, Woodland, CA 95695) Maps here for Route 16:  https://www.google.com/maps?q=38.673520,-121.908145&hl=en-US&gl=us&shorturl=1 July 9, 2017 We initially went to Muller Ranch and YOLO vineyards as they were known in YELP to be better but seems like most of them are already dying.  A lot of bees and there was dtich/dike so a bit hard to cross over We instead went back along Route 16 and there were plenty just along the highway and we stopped by the side of the road.  Btw, you can also see this in DIXON but apparently, it is better around here Route 16 Maps here. Muller Ranch The Sunflowers - they were kinda dying already and there was a huge ditch The Vineyard (grapes)

4th of July - Independence Day Festivities and Fireworks in San Francisco

Website: http://sf.funcheap.com/san-francisco-4th-july-fireworks-show/ Where: Festivities at Pier 39 Fireworks - at San Francisco Art Institute (800 Chestnut Street) Feedback: July 4, 2017 Pier 39 was pretty crowded but and a lot of live events.  The streets were closed all the way down to North Point Street.  Very festive and fun. San Francisco Art Institute was a good place to view the 2 fireworks.  The other barge (pier 41) was not quite visible and hidden by the tree but not bad.  It was also not that crowded. This was actually recommended in this article . Seems like as ALWAYS San Francisco is FOGGY. And you can see from the pictures that we didn't see much since it was foggy.  I heard it was much worse the previous years. It was interesting to see some sort of a colored sky instead though. Tin Roof by Chef Simeon (Top Chef Finalist) - Maui Hawaii

Website: http://www.tinroofmaui.com/ Address:  360 Papa Place, Kahului, HI, 96732 Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Star Feedback: July 3, 2017 A mom and pop eatery in Kahului, Maui, Hawaii! This was recommended by my friend 'cuz she saw Top Chef Sheldon Simeon in 2 Seasons of Top chef and he has kinda like a pop-up restaurant in Maui Hawaii. The place was really small and not much space to eat so you might just want to order (via square) or walk in and buy.  The wait wasn't that long which is good.  Note, it is only open during lunch 10am-2pm Mondays to Saturdays The dish seems to be Hawaiian or Filipino with a twist and is quite cheap for all menus being under $10 dollars. Chef Sheldon Simeon Top Chef Season 10 (2012) and Season 14 (2016) Top Finalist and won Fan Favorite award for both seasons Credits: Photo by BravoTv.com "he was named in Hawaii Magazine's Top 5 Best Hawaiian Chefs of 2014 and voted FOOD & WINE Magazine's 2014 People's Bes
