 We went during 4th of July 2021 (Summer).  It was pretty hot like 80 F.

Scenic Skychair lift (round trip) costs around 29$ + tax for adults.  It's actually the same ski lift used during winter, but it's a long mile up to the top of the mountain.

Once you get on top, there's a restaurant that you can get burgers etc but more importantly, they have trails to go around and has  great view of the lake and the mountains.  Mountain Sky Loop had view of the mountains while part of the Ski Ridge Trail had a view of the Lake so we did a short one going to the Ski Ridge Trail and went back to to the Mountain Sky loop to finish it.  We probably did around 3 miles or less.


Food


Tropicali

Apparenlty, Ranked 15th Best Restaurant in America by YELP # 1 in Cali by USA Today (yelp).  This place is affordable but really good Hawaiian food.  It's a family owned business and the folks there are pretty cool and they spend time talking to you so they can provide suggestions on the food, especially when it comes to "hotness/spiciness" of the food.  Spicy food can really be SPICY!

My favorite here is the Poke bowl definitely but others are as good as well.











Big Bear Brewing Company

Try their Flights of Beer for 12$ to try 6 kinds of draft beer.   We didn't really eat their entrees but enjoyed their appetizers from chicken wings, fried zucchinis, onion rings, and had an Apple Prosciutto Pesto Flatbread, which was yummy with it's savory and sweet taste.

TIP: Ask for their flights of beer and definitely try their Avocado Bomb







El Jacalito

If you are up for Mexican food, El Jacalito is a good restaurant.  The Pozole was a lot though and had so much meat and hominy.  The Burritos was pretty big too.

Kinda like a really nice restaurant with a good vibe with live music during the day. We had their famous Cali burger which was pretty good. TIP: You have to order their French Fries, they are amazing, not the ordinary fries but seems like it is battered with something that makes it more crispy and tasty.

  Bubble Tea 3 Ways Yields 3 Servings (1 1/2cup of uncooked pearls) Ingredients Tapioca pearls: 180g (1 1/2 cups) Tapioca starch **Edit: You can add up to 1 cup extra tapioca flour if your dough is still too sticky.(Some people are having problems with sticky dough so it might help, some times humidity and the microwave step might lead to a sticky dough) 80g (6 tbsp) Muscovado or dark brown sugar  120g (1/2 cup) Hot water 60g (1/4 cup) Extra muscovado or dark brown sugar Extra water, for cooking Few cups of room temperature drinking water, for rinsing Tapioca Pearls 1. Lake Elsinore Walker Canyon Live Camera

It's been really hard finding the live camera for Walker Canyon at Lake Elsinore so that I can check out if there is super bloom. London Travel Tips

Transportation: Use Oyster Card Traveling by Tube/Tram/Buses Visitor Oyster Card Make sure you use the oyster card  or visit oyster card, there is a deposit of 5 pounds, but you can refund that later on.  The good thing is that it caps daily, weekly , and monthly  . Apparently, oyster card does not cap weekly - you have to explicitly  purchase a 7 day travel card for the oyster.  One day is around 8 pounds and 7 days is around 32 pounds plus 5 pounds deposit for the card, which you can refund later. Otherwise, top it up for 7 days or monthly. You can buy it in convenience stores/shops and the tube stations.
