Crystal Cove State Park - Los Angeles

Image
Website:  http://www.crystalcovestatepark.org/map-of-hiking-trails/ Check out the hiking trails, I took the difficult loop which was around 2+ hours and honestly, nothing much to see till you get to the Moro Ridge area and you see the ocean so for those who might wan tto do an eaisier route, you can just do the Moro Ridge, get to go up and see the ocean and come back if you want, or go further down to cut across and see the canyon.  Honestly. nothing much nice to see except the ocean side. Someone suggested that the beach trail might be nicer (but it's really more of a walk along the beach, rather than a hiking trail). Ramen Maruya, Japan Village, Los Angeles

Image
Website: Address: 104 Japanese Village Plaza Mall, Los Angeles, CA 90012 Rating: 4 out of 5 star Feedback: June 8, 2017 Ordered CHASU Ramen which was in the posters in the restaurant and their most popular food on the menu Noodle was good - thin and firm Soup - broth was nice and full Eggs - wasn't really like a japanese egg - lack the kind of consistency that I am looking for.  It is more just like a half boiled egg. Chasu - not bad but it was reallllly too much for me.  It was thinly sliced and easy to eat. Kinda like it. Cost 15.95 so tad expensive for Ramen but it's a lot of Chasu. Takoyaki Tempura Too oily and not really my thing for me.

Hungtington beach, Pacific City, and Portola Coffee Lab

Huntington Beach Nice beach area - not as super crowded as Sta Monica. There's not much on the pier but right across has some shops and they have Pacific City which is quite nice too. Pacific City Small kinda like LA shopping with the usual branda They have some sort of a nice food court (lot 579) but have good stuff like Portola Coffee and Pop bar. They have Philz as one of the shops too I was going to try one of the sandwiches shop which had "Spaghetti Grilled Cheese Sandwich It is like Sta Monica promenade but smaller and less crowded Lot 579 Portola Coffee Lab Love it. Ordered flat white and it was good. Perfect frothe and cofee. 4.5 star!

2017 Pasadena Tournament of Roses - Post Parade (Los Angeles)

Website:  https://www.tournamentofroses.com/ Post Parade Website:  https://www.tournamentofroses.com/events/post-parade Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Address: E Washington Blvd & Sierra Madre Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107 Date Visited: January 2, 2017 Feedback: Instead of queuing up in line the day before and not really seeing the floats, I suggest you go to the post-parade show case where they put all the floats in one place for you to see, take pictures, and appreciate. It's actually quite a huge place and you will need more than two hours to go They set up the place so that they have food stalls, sponsor's booths, and some activities so you might want to check it out and at least spend half a day there.  Food is fairly limited with hotdog stands, kernel, and the usual food stall stuff (but not that much). They had California Pizza Kitchen there though The floats were amazing - really beautiful and they really spent time doing it up. There are attendants who ca
