Why I chose this:

  • They basically pick-up and delivery the stuff for you, so you DO NOT NEED to drive yourself to the storage or pick it up again to be sent to your place.

Overall Experience Feedback:
  • March 7, 2021 Feedback: 1 out of 5
    • If I can score this negative, I would.  The whole pick up experience was pretty bad and here are the things that happened.
      • We can't ask them to deliver to Sta Clara since that is not covered so we have to schedule a pick-up
      • Getting back to us for pick up times was really slow and took more than 3 days and thus, we end up extending our storage support instead of getting it pick up earlier.
      • They sent us the pick up times and schedule, told us 8-11 am.
        • My friend go there at 8.05 and no-one was there
        • Called makespace, and they have to call the person assigned there
        • The guy in the warehouse said, I should have called him and I said I don't have his contact, and WHILE I was talking to him, I receive a text for the contact of the person in the WAREHOUSE (so obviously they forgot to send it to me)
        • Apparently there was another entrance to the warehouse.
        • I had 15 items, only got 14 items.  My friend was picking it up and he called me to check. 
          • The Warehouse guy pretended he didn't know and that there's only 14 items.
          • Apparently, he also has the list and he KNEW there was one MISSING ITEM.
          • He doesn't want to give any letter or document that one is missing because he said, it is not his fault, he only has 14 items in his warehouse.
          • I have to call Makespace to say that there is a missing item.
            • They said they'll follow up over email and it must be in another warehouse. I said, I don't have time to pick it up again and they should deliver.
        • Next day, they charge me FOR storage for the remaining missing item.
          • I have to call for REFUND! Such a hassle.
  • OLD FEEDBACK: 4 out of 5
    • I wanted 5 because of convenience and they were pretty much on time (with my friend they were an hour late after the 3 hour block)
    • The bad experience that I had was
      • Really hard to contact them on the phone, so a bit hard to coordinate so I just email them and wait for a call back
      • I requested for additional storage bags and I didn't get them until the afternoon after they picked up my stuff. NOTE: So order the bags earlier and order them a bit more, you can always just return them.

What actually happens:
  • You get a quote 
    • They will ask you to create an account where you can update inventory, etc.
  • You set an appointment with them
    • You can do this right away while getting a quote. Especially during the time of Covid/Pandemic, it was hard to get appointments since everybody is moving out of SF and going back to their hometown or parents' place.
    • NOTE: It was hard to call them, I have to email them to call me back
  • They will send you "Storage Bags"
    • These bags will be used by them to put this in actual hard storage bins
    • It took a week for me to receive it
    • I requested for more but got delayed and didn't get this until AFTER they picked my stuff
  • Pack your stuff
    • Put your stuffs in the Green Storage Bags provided and label them
    • Appliances or other stuffs in Boxes
  • Put all your stuff in one place if possible for them to easily pick it up
  • Wait for Pick up
    • They'll send you a block when they will pick it up, mine was 8-11 and they arrived around 8
    • They reminded me a few times through email, a day before and a few days before.
    • I got a text 20 minutes before saying that they were on their way
    • I got a call for them that they were outside
  • Pick Up
    • There will be movers picking it up and labeling them
  • Email Sent
    • You will get an inventory of your stuff with QR codes so if you need some of them
    • And a new quote depending if you have more or less stuff.

Text messages I got from them and a follow up after that they've packed it.



Invoice and first pick up - 59$ fee was free



In the website, you can see how many items and they'll have a picture so you can select which boxes (or all) you need to be delivered back to you. Note that I was trying to get them delivered to Santa Clara but they said they didn't serve that area yet, so they mentioned that I can pick it up in their warehouse in South San Francico.





Feb. 2021
  • Been trying to sched a pick up, apparently, Sta Clara is outside of their delivery area.
    • Take NOTE: whether you ask them to deliver or you PERSONALLY Pick-up in their warehouse, you still have to pay 59$ fee!!!

Late Test, as you can see they texted at 8.22 AM when I was on the call with make space!!!

I got charged again... apparently for the missing Item but at least was able to refund, but such a hassle.
