One of those seemingly hippies kind of party in the bay area. It's like a much much smaller scale burning men.
According to my friend, they are neither hippies nor hipsters, they are "burners." They are supposed to be halfway to hippies or the more modern hippies, and they are the "burning man" folks.
My friend describes it... they wear interesting tights, anything leather (but not leather jackets) and usually vest, interesting hat, or furs.

False Profit Presents: Spring Training 2016 - A Free Day Party
San Francisco, CA-- False Profit, Inc. broke with recent corporate trends today when it issued the financial sector’s first ever Statement of Integrity and Transparency. Company spokesperson and Chief Sonic Frequency Analyst John “JD” David summarized the document by saying, “We feel the best way to continue our mission of delivering zero financial returns to our shareholders is to abide by three guiding principles: Rock you in the daytime, rock you in the nighttime, and never register any affiliated companies in Panama.”
The company’s Director of Vibration Protocol Compliance, Maryann “orange” Hulsman, elaborated further, describing what she referred as to as a “three-pronged action plan” designed to deliver on the guiding principles. “First, we’ll offer all shareholders a free training session in daytime rocking on Sunday, May 15th, at our 11th annual Spring Training event. Second, we will offer multiple opportunities to apply those newly developed skills to both daytime and nighttime rocking at Priceless, our annual summer retreat. And third, any future shell companies that we create will be registered on American soil, probably in Delaware.”
Shareholders interested in attending the training event on May 15th are advised to take note of the following:
- The event will once again be held at Joaquin Miller park. We will be posting the exact location within the park and precise directions a day or two before the event. Stay tuned.
- Due to an overage in perceived demand at last year’s training, we will be keeping this event private on Facebook and we kindly request that you comply with our new protocol by not sharing this event to your walls. That said, please help us spread the word by making sure all the right people see this information. Please keep this announcement OFF of large, public-facing email lists and websites.
- As always, this will be a Leave-No-Trace event. Please plan on packing out ALL of your items and helping False Profit leave the park nicer than we found it.
- Kids and pets welcome! Within reason.
- Spring Training is a free event, but costs have SKYROCKETED in recent years. Please help ensure we can keep doing this fun thing everyone loves by sending a donation to help cover costs.
