Portugal Imports (Artesia, LA County)

Image
If you are craving for some Bacalo, Pasteis de Nata, or Portugues goodies, then you can head down to Portugal Imports.  Apparently, they imported the Pasteis de Nata from Portugal and baked it here. You can also buy frozen ones for 6.99.   I bought 3 Pasteis de Nata and 3 Queijiada de Nata (their signature Pastry for 10 dollars).  They have a few more like Coconut, Almond, etc.   I also bought a pack of Frozen Pao de Quiejo for $10.

Paso Robles, CA

Downtown Paso Robles Winery Sculpterra Winery Tin City Tin City Cider Room Brewery Firestone Walker Brewery Downtown  Quite a nice area to walk around, with lot of nice restaurants.  This really feels like those nice downtowns in California like Napa and Sta. Rosa.   Some suggestions for things to eat and buy: Brown Butter Cookie Company - They only have shortbreads here and in their San Luis Obispo Branch.  Cayucos have cookies. Fish Gaucho - Mexican Food. Sculpterra Winery It's a nice winery, with a lot of really super nice sculptures.  There's also a hiking trail that you can walk around the vineyards.  Do reservations if you want to do wine tasting, otherwise, they are still ok for walk-ins and you can buy a bottle or a glass and walk around. I will have to try the Tooth & Nail Winery next time. Tin City It's off (like 10 minutes away) from downtown and seems like Crates and "Tin" Stores.   Not that big but has Brewery (Barrel House), Cider Room (Tin City

April 3, 2021 (Saturday) This is so far the best food complex in LA/ OC, I think so much better than Anaheim packing district. However, it was kinda too crowded that I didn't feel comfortable - it is still the Pandemic anyways.

Santa Ana (4th Street) Orange County

Image
Main street in Santa Ana downtown, with lots of restaurants. And 4SM (4th street market) is a complex with lots of food stalls. Seems like this is a trend nowadays.

Steelcraft Bellflower

Steelcraft, more like a small complex with Food stalls, seems to use shipping containers as food stalls.

El Dorado Park

El Dorado Park East and Nature Center Parking has a few of 7 Dollars or you can part near the library area and walk for 20 minutes to the Nature center. It is quite a nice, shaded place.  This is probably the best part of the El Dorado Park. But do take note that they close quite early like around 5 pm. El Dorado West Park There is a free parking but the mostly they are for the Golfers.   The south end with the duck pond is smaller while the north part of the El Dorado Park West is bigger with Tennis Center, Senior Center, Basketball Courts, and Baseball and Soccer fields.
